Standing at the Stanboul end of the Galata Bridge. Begun in 1597, original architect Davut Aga, a former apprentice of the great Sinan. Aga died in 1599 and replaced by Dalgic Ahmet Cavus until 1603, when the death of Mehmet III halted construction on the Mosque since his Mother had lost her power in the Palace. Ahmed I showed no interest in completing the Mosque, neither did his immediate successors. Stood unfinished and then destroyed by fire in 1660.
