With its novel architectural design of an inverted pyramid, The Pier opened in 1973 but was demolished in 2015 after deteriorating over the years. RMT11W6H–This is the 1831 London Bridge that crossed the River Thames in England for 131 years until it was dismantled and then reassembled in 1971 in Lake Havasu City in the western state of Arizona, USA. Water from the Colorado River now flows under the granite bridge, which was bought at auction from the City of London for $2.5 million by American entrepreneur Robert P. McCulloch.
