Depiction of Artemis deity and mistress of the animal kingdom theme. It is situated/ painted on the Eastern wall of the building's first floor. Goddess Artemis is accompanied by a character playing lyre instrument and an angelic figure, possibly escorting Artemis (or Diana). Painting 4 of 7. An unseen collection of classical Greek mythology indoor wallpaintings by Manos Papamalis 1901-1993, son of the Greek folk painter & iconographer Grigorios Papamalis 1871-1941, facing the ravages of time, inside an abandoned house in Kontias/ Kondias village, Lemnos island, Greece. During 1931, Manos, commissioned seven wallpaintings, to decorate the interior of a house, built in 1921, in Kontias village. The first floor of the house hosts 7 wallpaintings in the same room area. The attempts of Lemnian modern history, to trace signs of its past, revealed these works of art to the public, approximately in 2000. Since then, they are still threatened with ruination, day by day. In the late 2014 the property owners/ relatives sold their shares to a new buyer. The future of these pieces of art is unknown.
