ANNANDALE, VIRGINIA (October 30, 2016) Petty Officer 1st Class Adam Whitman, right, leads the men of the U.S. Navy Band Sea Chanters chorus during their 60th anniversary concert as they perform traditional sea chanteys. The Sea Chanters celebrated their 60th anniversary iin Annandale, Virginia, with a concert featuring alumni from the group. The chorus was formed as an all-male group in 1956 and tasked with perpetuating the songs of the sea. In 1980, the group added women to their ranks and expanded their repertoire to include everything from Brahms to Broadway.
