The women include Hildegard Kanbach (first from left), Irene Haschke (centre, third from right), the Head Wardress, Elisabeth Volkenrath (second from right, partially hidden) and Herta Bothe (first from right). Herta Bothe accompanied a death march of women from central Poland to Bergen-Belsen. She was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment and released early from prison on December 22, 1951. Elisabeth Volkenrath was head wardress of the camp and sentenced to death. She was hanged on December 13 1945. Irene Haschke was sentenced to 10
