RMR20J2X–York House in the Strand in London was built as the London home of the Bishops of Norwich not later than 1237, and around 300 years later it was acquired by King Henry VIII. It came to be known as York House when it was granted to the Archbishop of York in 1556 and retained that name for the rest of its existence. In the 1620s it was acquired by the royal favourite George Villiers, 1st Duke of Buckingham, and after an interlude during the English Civil War it was returned to George Villiers, 2nd Duke of Buckingham who later sold it.

RMPB4CC8–Edward Stafford, 3rd Duke of Buckingham (1478-1521), an English nobleman on his way to the Tower of London. A peer with substantial Plantagenet blood he maintained numerous connections with the upper aristocracy. During 1520, Buckingham became suspected of potentially treasonous actions and Henry VIII authorised an investigation. He was finally summoned to Court in April 1521 and arrested and placed in the Tower. He was tried before a panel of 17 peers, being accused of listening to prophecies of the King's death and intending to kill the King. He was executed on Tower Hill on 17 May.
