They live on their own, are nocturnal, but they may bask during the day when night-time temperatures are too low. Ambush predators, they often lie in wait for an appropriate prey to come along, but they have also been known to actively hunt, in regions with a low concentration of suitable prey. The boa first strikes at the prey, grabs it with its teeth, then proceeds to constrict the prey until death before consuming it whole.

More gave his young wife a better education tutoring her in music and literature. The couple had four children before Jane died in 1511. After refusing to take the Oath of Supremacy, he was convicted of treason and beheaded.

She married him on 12 July 1543, and outlived him by one year. Shewas personally involved in the education of Elizabeth I and Edward VI and influential in Henry's passing of the Third Succession Act in 1543 that restored both his daughters, Mary and Elizabeth, to the line of succession to the throne. Catherine was appointed Regent from July to September 1544 while Henry was on a military campaign in France.

She was originally married to King Louis VII of France, but as the marriage had not produced a son it was annulled. Just eight weeks later she married her third cousin King Henry II of England and over the next thirteen years, she bore Henry five sons, including King Richard I and King John. In early 1201 Eleanor took the veil as a nun, died in 1204 and was entombed in Fontevraud Abbey next to her husband King Henry I
