Beyer's jeweled scarab beetle, Chrysina (Plusiotis) beyeri. This beautiful leaf chafer beetle belongs to the subfamily Rutelinae within the large family of scarab beetles (Scarabaeidae). This species is found in the mountains , canyons and foothills of southeastern Arizona.
