Attachthe other rope by a loop around the near fore pastern (g) ; thenpass its free end backward to and through hobble strap ringon near hind pastern (f). The rope should now be crossedover and brought outside the animals off fore leg and thereheld by an assistant (h). This assistant should stand some-what in front of the horse and to the off side.
