The Severn System with generating plant at Big Chute has been operatedin parallel with the Eugenia and Wasdells Systems of the Hydro-Electric PowerCommission and the Orillia System of the Municipality- of Orillia, and very satis-factory results were obtained with regard to stability and continuity of servicefor all systems concerned. The new 1, 600 kv-a. alternator with a 2, 300 horse-power turbine and supplyand control equipment in the Big Chute Power House extension was put intocommercial operation in February.
