Lawyers present resolution and Number 10. Firm stand against 'German blackmail' urged. Eight deputation of barristers consisting of Lt Col William Frederik Wright (left), Mr PRD Shufeldt (centre ),and Mr John Platts Mills , presented at No 10 Downing Street a resolution signed by 181 barristers and solicitors 'urging the government to save peace by making a firm stand against German blackmail'. The resolution urged the government to refuse to be a party to 'the dismemberment of a friendly state'. 20 September 1938
