Feb. 26, 2012 - Edith Sommer-Irving shows her paintings in Cologne: ''Romantical phantasies'' calls Edith Sommer-Irving her paintings, which she presently shows in Cologne (picture). Edith Irving's name was in every paper four years ago., not regarding to her art works but rather as being the wife of writer Clifford Irving. She was accused (and condemned) for being his accomplice of the latter's 2-million cheat with the alleged memoirs of Howard Hughes. Edith Sommer-Irving, who was born in Germany and has four children, started painting 18 years ago, her first exhibition was in 1959 in Germany. After then, her works were exhibited in Barcelona, New York, Houston, New Orleans, Zurich, Southampton, Hamburg, Stuttgart etc. Some of the paintings, presently shown in Cologne, were made during her 16 month stay in prison because of the memoirs affair.
