Reproduction. — With h.p. examine a series of spore-cases of various sizes and note : (a) The various stages in the development of the spore-cases. (b) The ripe spores escaping. Make a drawing to show these. Sow some of the spores of (b) on the surface of "hay tea" made by boiling a handful of hay in just water enough to cover it and then straining through cloth or filtering through a paper filter..
