Just before it is born, was bought back to life by the scale of Dr Arthur Smith, obstetrician at the Margaret Haig maternity hospital in Jersey City, New Jersey, USA. Just before delivery. The doctor discovered that the baby's heart had stopped beating. He administered five drops of adrenaline when the baby was born, apparently dead. After five minutes respiration. The baby drew its first breath and was placed in a tub of warm water. In his first few minutes of life. The baby was given a mixture of 5% carbon dioxid

The baby drew its first breath and was placed in a tub of warm water. In his first few minutes of life. The baby was given a mixture of 5% carbon dioxide and 95% oxygen to breathe. The baby, now nearly 3 weeks old, weighs 7 pounds and is normal in every respect.
