The small white flowers appear along the branches in June and July followed by small black fruits often remaining throughout the winter. Has become very popular for producing low, dense hedges. Its abundant, small light green leaves, which turn to rich colors in autumn, and its wealth of scarlet berries render it verj' attractive.
