Air Chief leaves to inspect Empire bases-Hong Kong included. As Britain's note on Hong Kong was presented to Japan, Sir Edward I Ellington, Marshal of the Royal Air Force, left Victoria station, London, on a tour of inspection of the RAF stations in the Near and Far East. Sir Edward, who is Inspector General of the RAF, is accompanied by Squadron leader R R Nash, personal assistant. Photo shows, Sir Edward Ellington (right) with Air Chief Marshal Sir Cyril Newell., Chief of Air Staff, who saw him off at Victoria. 23 December 1937
