A new custodian of Westminster Abbey. Canon Frank Russell Barry, DSO, Canon of Westminster and rector of St John's Smith Square, Westminster, has been appointed to be the new custodian of Westminster Abbey, in succession to Sir Edward Knapp Fisher, who resigned recently. Canon Barry had a brilliant career at Oxford and was afterwards, a Fellow of Oriel College, and Fellow and Tutor of Balliol. He served with distinction as a chaplain in the forces during the war. From 1919 to 1923 he was principal of the Ordination Test, Knutsford. 24 January 1938
