14/10/2021. Felixstowe, UK. The Port of Felixstowe has had to turn away ships from Asia because of a backlog of containers not being distributed due to the shortage of HGV drivers. AP Moller-Maresk, the worlds largest container company has had to load containers onto smaller ships bound for the UK. This is having a disruptive effect as the shipping industry enters the pre-Christmas period of delivery with a possible shortage of Christmas goods being sold in the UK.
