Paisley November 17th 2018 Christmas lights switch on. During the packed out event we had a power cut due to a junction box, I was told started to smoke and the fire brigade had to be called out. This caused problems for the town hall, which not only turned people out due to health and safety reasons given the lights going on and off. But stopped and froze the town’s main clock which remained at 1.25pm all night during the Christmas light switch on..... The main act was the X factor contestants, the Cutkelvins while the Lord Provost along with a young girl who’s won a compaction to switch on the 2018 lights.
