Whittlesey, Cambridgeshire, UK. 19th Jan, 2019. Whittlesey is hosting the 40th The Straw Bear Festival procession on January 19, 2018. The festival celebrates the old Fenland plough custom of parading straw bears around the town every January where they would then consume beer tobacco and beef. The procession, led by the Straw Bear, has over 2o0 dancers, musicians and performers. They perform traditional Molly, Morris, Clog and Sword dancing.
