Vintage 19th century photograph: Officers of Fane's Horse, raised by Captain Walter Fane at Cawnpore in 1860 for service in the Second Opium War in China. It became the 19th Lancers, a cavalry regiment of the British Army. Fane is the seated man with the book in his hand mid right. Image taken at Tientsin, Tianjin, China in 1861.
