Preseli Bluestone (spotted dolerite), was used to build Stonehenge. This shot shows a monolith detached from the rock face. The quarry for stonehenge, is presumed to be Carn Menyn situated 1.75 kms to the south-west of this site. Foel Drygan is a Late Bronze Age / Early Iron Age hillfort stands at the end of the Preseli range and is capped by three cairns.
