This Late Bronze Age / Early Iron Age hillfort stands at the end of the Preseli range and is capped by three cairns. This shot is a pan to the highest of the cairns. Shot during the exceptionally cold winter of December 2010 The rocks are Preseli Bluestone, the same rock used to build Stonehenge. The quarry for stonehenge, Carn Menyn is situated 1.75 kms to the south-west.
