Albuquerque Balloon Fest setting up to fly timelapse. The Balloon Fiesta began in 1972 with 13 hot air balloons. Now there are 600 balloons from over 20 different countries and is the world's largest event. Included are both hot air and helium gas balloons in the America Challenge cross country flight. Well over 100, 000 spectators attend on a daily basis to watch day and night flights and competitions.
