"I look at all the of the great women who forged the way forward for me to be able to do the incredible things I have enjoyed doing in the Army." After deployment, Whelan plans to spend time with her children and grandchildren while spending a week on Kelly's Island in Ohio. Her favorite food is jellybeans and her favorite movie is Raiders of the Lost Ark.
