Translated Vase by Yeesookyung (b. 1963), Republic of South Korea, 2014. made from porcelain fragments, epoxy, lacquer, and gold leaf. The “Translated Vase” series was first exhibited in 2001. The artist translates (recycles), rejected objects to make new, whole works.
