Today's large cruise liners are like floating cities, with all the amenities and problems that entails. Staid British lines aside, they also tend towards a homogeneous generic style; let us call it 'Post-Vegas' - make it glitzy, add some more glitz for luck, plus lashings of marble and spotlights. The results tend towards over-the-top, but can be exciting, if a tad exhausting. New tech is another common feature - like this rather cuddly robot bartender. Unfortunately, it's no Chat GPT, failing to respond to my asking its name or requests for mixology recipes; it just mixes a limited repertoire of cocktails - for an extornionate price. Boo.
