Exhibit of the Austin motorcar which took the monk Thich Quang Duc to the site in Saigon of his self-immolation on 11 June 1963. The public self-burning was a protest against the policies of the South Vietnamese President Ngo Dinh Diem which, according to the placard alongside the exhibit, discriminated against Bhuddists and violated religious freedom
