It fell down the ravine while reversing to avoid a German counterattack, instantly killing a gunner, Corporal Adam Antoniuk, wounding Średnicki and tank's radiooperator, Private Święcicki. Two drivers (possibly featured in the photograph), Lance Corporals Józef Boryczko and Juliusz Matzenauer, survived the fall although Matzenauer was killed by a mortar grenade a few minutes later.
