The Mall, London, UK, 9th June 2018. A Sikh soldier, Guardsman Charanpreet Singh Lall (middle), is the first to wear a turban (dastar) at Trooping the Colour. The Sovereign's birthday is officially celebrated by the ceremony of Trooping the Colour, the Queen's Birthday Parade. Troops from the Household Division, overall 1400 officers and soldiers are on parade, together with two hundred horses; over four hundred musicians from ten bands and corps of drums.
