Cloaks scarlet, with white capes.Officers wore silver lace or embroidery, sil-ver epaulettes, and crimson silk sashesround their waists. The Seventeenth Light Dragoons cameto Boston from Ireland on May 24, 1775, under Lieutenant-Colonel Samuel Birch.It served at the siege of Boston, and a de-tachment volunteered for
