RMEM9HE0–This Los Angeles landmark is a gigantic public artwork called 'Hollywood Jazz: 1945-72' that pays tribute to jazz music legends on a long wall on Vine Street in Hollywood, California, USA. The photograph was taken in 1991, one year after the massive mural was painted by Richard Wyatt Jr. He created 11 portraits, including the seven shown here (left to right): Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Shelly Manne, Dizzy Gillespie (with horn), Billie Holiday, and Duke Ellington. When the paint began to fade and chip over the years, the artist reproduced his work on ceramic tiles in 2013.
