Under side dead-leaf brown with a gray lustre, tinted on hind margin of fore wings with reddish, and through- out covered with dark scales. The basal half of fore wings deep-colored, limited without by a wavy edge; be- yond this, and reaching to the dark marginal border, is a broad wavy band of paler color, bifurcate at the costal.
