The locomotive is a passenger train tender with the number 64 491 that was built in 1940 by the manufacturer "Orenstein & Koppel" in Berlin. According to the homepage of the "Dampfbahn Fränkische Schweiz e.V.", the locomotive was taken out of service in Crailsheim in 1974 as one of the last of its class at the Deutsche Bahn (DB) and was also used for film productions such as "Unsere Mütter, unsere Väter".
