At the top end is a Memorial Wall on which are recorded the Names of the Missing for whom there was no room on the Menin Gate. In the top centre is a uneven array of headstones which are the battlefield graves from October 1917. There are almost 12,000 burials here and approaching 35,000 names on the Memorial Wall.
