Edinburgh Academy lit up in red light as part of the #LightUpRed2020 campaign organised by Poppy Scotland to commemorate Remembrance Day 2020. COVID-19 had a massive impact on the organisation’s ability to run street collections this year and the Lit Up Red campaign helped them raise awareness for the Scottish Poppy Appeal. The Edinburgh Academy is an independent school in Edinburgh, Scotland, which was opened in 1824. The main building of the Senior School, with its Greek Doric frontage, was designed by architect William Burn.
