Engineer Sergey Antipovich Velichkin, born June 26, 1874, lived in exile in Czechoslovakia after the Bolshevik Revolution and supervised the construction of the Dormition Church in 1924-1925. He died at age 70 on June 11, 1944. The Dormition church at the Olsany Cemetery was built in 1924-1925 by the Russian white emigre. The underground crypt was used as a burial place for the most notable persons of the Russian emigration in Czechoslovakia.
