First trim department employees to work on ''job one'' strike a ''we did it'' pose in photo at upper left. At lower right, the body shell is lifted so that plant traffic can pass below as it makes a U-turn to travel down another length of the snake-like trim line.

RME13CD7–Feb. 29, 2012 - First coat - Thoroughly cleaned and treated in a 460 foot - long wash and phosphate system, Volkswagen Rabbit body shell wearing heavy electrodes both front and back begins its rear end first submersion into a 55,000 gallon tub (upper photo) in which it will get its first of two coats of primer paint. Lower Photo show same shell as it moves rearward through a 392 degree Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius) drying oven on its way to a booth in which electrostatic equipment will give it its second prime coat.
