With the advent of dry season farmers in Bogra district are facing acute crisis of water for irrigation. The shallow pumps and tube wells are of no use as the water table has gone down drastically. In an attempt to counter this problem, farmers have sunk the pumps 15/20 feet below the existing location, but even then the results are not satisfactory. Bogra, Bangladesh. March 13, 2009.
