RMG7DJ8P–A waitress at the Grafton Street Bewley's, as Campbell-Bewley's group announced that its two outlets on Grafton Street and Westmoreland Street are to stop trading before Christmas. The cafes, which are understood to be running at a considerable loss, will close with the loss of 234 jobs. Bewley's first opened a cafe in 1894 on Georges Street, and the chain, famous for their marble tables and stained glass windows, were frequented by writers such as James Joyce and Brendan Behan.
