Feb. 26, 2012 - Bavarian Red Cross Installs Rescue Igloos Along the Autobahn Wurzburg Salzburg: During the eleven holiday weekends of this summer, the Bavarian Red Cross will make a try of better accident rescue; it has installed 13 Mobila first aid stations along the Autobahn Wurzburg Salzburg. The Igloos (our picture) are supplied with anything necessary including wireless sets and motor cycles. Each Igloo is manned by six unpaid helpers. The Bavarian Red Cross attaches a positive result to this rescue Igloo since successful live saving does very much depend upon quick help. Jun. 14, 1962 - A radio and television station in Canada has launched a contest for its listeners in which they will guess the time it takes Mr. Jean Skelton to complete a trip rom the station's studios to the foot of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. (It being understood that he will cross the Atlantic by plane.) Skelton arrived at Orly airport this morning. He also carrying a message from the Mayor of Vinnipeg, Canada to the President of the Paris Town Council. Skelton is pictured here in a cowboy hat showing off his stopwatch that will tell him how long his trip took.
