It is a private residence, and has been the home of the Carlisle branch of the Howard family for more than 300 years. Building began in 1699 and took over 100 years to complete to a design by Sir John Vanbrugh for the 3rd Earl of Carlisle.
RMM7WE87–Easby Abbey or the Abbey of St Agatha is a ruined Premonstratensian abbey on the eastern bank of the River Swale on the outskirts of Richmond in the Richmondshire district of North Yorkshire, England. It was founded in 1152 and the inhabitants were canons rather than monks. The Premonstratensians wore a white habit and became known as the White Canons.They followed a code of austerity similar to that of Cistercian monks. Unlike monks of other orders, they were exempt from episcopal discipline and undertook preaching and pastoral work in the region.

RMMHJ2RY–Sandal Castle is a ruined medieval castle in Sandal Magna, a suburb of the city of Wakefield in West Yorkshire, England. In December 1460, during the Wars of the Roses, Richard Plantagenet made a bid for the throne and went to Sandal Castle, either to consolidate his position or to counter Lancastrian dissent. He had an army of 3,000–8,000 men but on 30 December in the Battle of Wakefield, he was outnumbered and outmaneuvered by Queen Margaret's army, coming from nearby Pontefract. Richard suffered a crushing defeat and both he and his younger son Edmund, Earl of Rutland were killed.

RMMBR4ER–The Cathedral and Metropolitan Church of Saint Peter in York, commonly known as York Minster from the ancient ramparts. This English Cathedral in the Early English, Perpendicular style is one of the largest of its kind in Northern Europe. In the mid 12th Century, Walter de Gray was made archbishop in 1215 and ordered the construction of a Gothic structure to compare to Canterbury; building began in 1220 and continued until declared complete and consecrated in 1472.
