RMW62162–July 15, 2019, London, United Kingdom: Members and supporters of climate change activist group Extinction Rebellion hold a banner at Aldwych on the opening day of the group's 'Summer Uprising' demonstration outside the Royal Courts of Justice in London. Demonstrations were also held in Bristol, Cardiff, Leeds and Glasgow. Among their demands for greater action on climate change, protesters are calling for 'ecocide' (i.e. the destruction of ecosystems) to be made a criminal act.
