RMD8FFJP–Special trains with 27 heavy tanks, 83 armoured personnel carriers and 170 lorries of the US army shortly before the departure from Kaiserslautern-Vogelweh on 20 January 1969. They are planned for the participation in the manoeuvre 'REFORGER I' - 'Return of Forces to Germany'. Altogether around 17.000 soldiers participated in the manoeuvre, many of them were brought from the USA to Germany via air bridge. The equipment of the soldiers and the heavy tools have already been in depots in Germany for the most part.
