A precursor to World War One it established Italian rule over Libya until independence in 1947. The conflict was the first recorded use of aircraft including the first aerial reconnaissance mission, bombing mission using German built Etrich Taube aircraft. The Turks were also the first to shoot down an airplane using rifle fire.

The Battle of Rymnik (Turkish: Boze Savaşı) on September 22, 1789 took place in Wallachia, near Râmnicu Sărat (now in Romania), during the Russo-Turkish War of 1787-1792. The Russian general Alexander Suvorov, acting together with the Habsburg general Prince Josias of Coburg, attacked the main Ottoman army under Grand Vizier Cenaze Hasan Pasha. The result was a crushing Russo-Austrian victory.

Coffee is brewed on a brazier in the middle of the room, while at left a slave is busy preparing sorbet. Once the guests have takes these refreshments they are offered rosewater from a sprinkler to clean their hands, and perfume from a vaporizer. The cloths hanging on the wall are traditional gifts from the visitors.

RM2K4KR64–A noble is strangled with a silken cord at the Ottoman Empire court of Sultan Murat IV, 1612 - 1640. The use of stimulants such as coffee or wine were forbidden under pain of death. Any act perceived as against the Sultan achieved the same result. The notably cruel Murat IV is thought to have ordered tens of thousands of executions during his reign.
