RMP55R2E–Red bartsia, Odontites rubra Gilib. Chromolithograph from Carl Lindman's 'Bilder ur Nordens Flora' (Pictures of Northern Flora), Stockholm, Wahlström & Widstrand, 1905. Lindman (1856-1928) was Professor of Botany at the Swedish Museum of Natural History (Naturhistoriska Riksmuseet). The chromolithographs were based on Johan Wilhelm Palmstruch's 'Svensk botanik' (1802-1843).
RMRDWHMP–. The vegetation of the Siberian-Mongolian frontiers (the Sayansk region). Botany; Botany. researches have become rather defective. In the most western parts of the steppe, the flowering season occurs already in April, and further to the east only in May, however, in contradistinction to the north-eastern part of the land, where the flowering begins as late as in June and July. At Tapsa (roughly 760 m. above sea-level), at this time of the year, I have obser- ved the following rather characteristic plants: Tribuliis terrestris, Medicago lupulina, Coluria geoides.
