In response to this, human rights organizations asked the Mayor of Bogota to give them an another location to set up the medical camp. They did not get an answer and instead got attacked by the anti-riot police during the evening. Protesters were shot at with tear gas canisters, stun grenades and water cannons. The confrontation lasted more than four hours.
