The famous Zoologist Dr. Lutz Heck and his wife returned from an eight months expedition from south-west Africa. On Thursday they welcomed the many animals they brought from Africa and which arrived in the meantime at the Munich-Hellabrunn zoological gardens. Mrs. Heck with two surricates or called in Africa 'stocksteerts'. They are tow little very interesting beasts.

Of course Ludwig feels at home in the menagerie of Hellabrunn and gets along ''very well'' with all animals. The present favorite of the child is Simmerl, a half year old giraffe-baby to whom he gaves sometimes very delicate willow - branchs - watching is Edith ''the big one'' - (our picture). Ludwig has the chance to become a zoo-director-this would be already the fourth generation
