RM2G12AET–Les Oyes De Frère Philippe. In a landscape environment, a monk holds a young man at the arm and shoulder. The boy is surprised when seeing two handsome ladies under a parasol held up by a dark boy. In the accompanying four-line French verse, the monk wants to protect the boy for the seductions of the ladies. The print is based on a painting by the French artist Lancret (1690-1743), inspired by a Fable of La Fontaine.
