RMPNB1BE–During the 1992-1995 war, Grbavica was occupied early by the Army of Republika Srpska and remained under Serb control throughout the siege. From the tall residential buildings, Serb snipers target the Sarajevo populace along Sniper Alley. The neighbourhood was heavily looted and destroyed.
